CDP featured Alcoa on both its Carbon Performance Leadership
Index and the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index.
The CDP represents 551 institutional investors with $71 trillion
in assets. The Carbon Performance Leadership Index is composed of
11 companies from the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 Index
while the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index consists of 55
companies from the S&P 500 Index.

The Carbon Performance Leadership Index highlights those
companies within the S&P 500 Index that have demonstrated a
strong commitment to strategy, governance, stakeholder
communications and emissions reductions in their CDP responses.
The Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index is a key component of
CDP's annual S&P 500 report, and highlights the constituent
companies within the S&P 500 Index that have displayed the most
professional approach to corporate governance regarding climate
change information disclosure practices.
