Canada's 2013 Clean50 Winners Announced

GLOBE-Net, September 19, 2012 - Delta Management Group, a twenty year old boutique search firm with a growing practice in clean tech, corporate social responsibility and sustainability professionals, has released the names of Canada's Top Clean50 honourees.Clean 50

Selected from sixteen diverse categories, this year's Clean50 represent a new community of leaders in sustainable business. They are, says Gavin Pitchford, Chief Talent Officer for the Delta Management Group, a new generation of "sustainability heroes."

Says Pitchford, "Leaders don't merely oversee; they inspire. Leaders convince us to take meaningful action on the most important issues we face."

"At Delta Management, twenty years of recruiting leaders have shown us that they, in turn, also need inspiration. So we created the Clean50 to recognize, celebrate and inspire leaders from multiple sectors, who are taking us towards a sustainable and prosperous future."

Selections are based evidence of leadership, creativity and courage, and most importantly, for achievements with measurable, tangible results.

Nominees are chosen from16 categories:

Advocates: NGOs, Individuals, Community Groups, Not-For-Profits & Non-Profits

Angels: Investors & Eco-System Support for sustainability & clean tech focused start ups

Building: Design, Real Estate Development, Housing, and Construction

Cities: Anyone making cities more liveable & sustainable including Municipal employees and politicians

Clean Technology: products available for sale, made or designed in Canada, that reduce energy consumption, create energy or enhance sustainability

Consultants: anyone who advises others on sustainability, CSR or eco issues

Education

Financial Services Organizations

Manufacturing & Transportation Organizations

Primary Resources (Agriculture, Forestry, Mining, Oceans, Oil, Water)

Public Sector (non-education, upper 2 levels of government - civil servants, crown corporations & politicians)

Renewable Energy Generation

Research & Development (products not yet for sale)

Retail & Consumer Products

Technology, Telecommunications, Communications & Media (including writers)

Traditional Energy Generation and Retailers

On September 19th, 2012, at the second annual Clean50 Summit, this year's honourees will add their commitment and energy to the innovative work begun by the inaugural Clean50.
